4x25mm ledged to the interior.
Vertically lapped 25mm to the exterior to allow movement while ensuring weather proofing.
20mm lock plate to the interior, taking standard 40mm mortice lock. (Please notify left or right opening).
This method of door construction allows water penetration of the wood without the door itself expanding or bowing. If you're looking for a traditional weathered oak door, this will allow you to eliminate the need for varnishing or staining.

Can be treated with teak oil which will help maintain colour and lifespan of the wood, or left untreated to eventually bleach to a silvery grey.

As all door frames are different sizes (and angles!), it is necessary to supply an over-sized door which can be templated to the frame on site. When ordering please provide your door frame dimensions and we will supply you with a slightly oversized door width to be reduced on site, to ensure a perfect fit.
